Dear Reining Enthusiast,

The Arabian Reining Horse Association, formed in 1999, is an affiliate club of the Arabian Horse Association. ARHA is dedicated to the highest standards of sportsmanship, to breeding the highest quality of Reiners and to the promotion and enjoyment of the sport of reining in the Arabian and Half-Arabian breeds.

The Arabian and Half-Arabian Reining Futurity Classics at Scottsdale started in 2005 with the Half-Arab class, and the purebred class in 2006. All classes are with 5 NRHA judges and NRHA rules. The payout is projected at $120,000.

The Limited Futurity, initiated in 2009, runs concurrent with the futurity classic.

The Non-Pro Derby class is designed for the 6, 7 and 8 year old horses, both Purebred and Half-Arab. With new added money the projected payout is $55,500.

The entry deadline for all programs for 2013 is December 15, 2012.

Terms and conditions and forms for all programs, both Purebred and Half-Arab, are enclosed in this packet. This information is also on the ARHA website, www.ARHA.net.

To be eligible to win any of the ARHA prize monies, both the rider and the owner must be Affiliate/Life members of the Arabian Reining Horse Association.

Prize money is also given in the AOTR reining classes at the regional shows. $1000 is available at each region for the two classes – Purebred and Half-Arab. $500 for each class; Champion $250, Reserve $100, remaining top five 5 $50 each. The Horse/Rider Nomination Form must be completed each year and sent to Phyllis LaMalfa by April 1.

With your membership and support we can continue to offer substantial purses and encourage participation in Arabian and Half-Arabian reining competition throughout the country.
