Yes, Scottsdale 2011. I realize it’s difficult to think Scottsdale 2011 when the temperature and the humidity are high and we just want to sit under the shade tree and take a nap.
The Non Pro Derby
Attention all you Non Pro Derby riders.
Get your 6, 7 and 8 year old horses ready for Scottsdale and the Non Pro Derby.
Tim Anderson of Amani Reiners has donated $10,000 for the Half Arabian Non Pro Derby, with the goal of having $20,000 prize money. All of this prize money will stay in the non pro class. The class will now be referred to as the Amani Reiners Half Arabian Non Pro Derby.
In addition, all levels of the Non Pro Derby will receive garlands. A formal presentation for the Non Pro Derby winners will be held before the futurity finals.
2011 Raffle
The ARHA Board is holding a raffle for a Half-Arab gelding with the drawing to be at Scottsdale 2011. The raffle gelding (Hesa Zee+/ x Surprisn Miss Melody by Mr Melody Jac) is a full sibling to the 2010 raffle filly, Sheza Melody Jac. The gelding will be started by Gary Ferguson and will be at Scottsdale.
The 2010 raffle filly was 2010 Region 14 Champion Half-Arab Jr. Reining. And she will be shown in the Scottsdale Half Arab futurity.

Banner space is available for the reining arena. Contact Phyllis LaMalfa, phone 480-707-3505, for size and cost. The banner profits are added to the reining class payouts.
