BITS AND PIECES
From Eleanor Hamilton
The Arabian Horse World, July 2003 issue, has an article on the Arabian Reining Horse Association. If you have not seen it, a link to it is on the ARHA website, www.arha.net.
Denise Hearst, Publisher, Honi Roberts, Contributing Editor, and Melanie Gleason, Art Director, did a superb job in putting this piece together for the ARHA. This feature is an excellent introduction to Arabian reining. If you could use copies for clinics, etc., there are limited ones available. Contact me at h.hamilton@microcontrol.com. This article will also appear in the Arabian Horse World Quarterly Autumn 2003.
The Arabian Horse World and the Arabian Reining Horse Association board will co-host a reception - cash bar and hors d’oeuvres - at US Nationals Friday, October 24, 2003, 7-9 p.m. The reception will be in the second arena where the open reining finals will start at 8 p.m.
Carolyn Edson, WA, has designed and will present Top 10 buckles to the purebred amateur class at US Nationals. These are 3-piece buckles for chaps.
Western Tradition will sponsor champion belt buckles for the 4 champion reining classes at US. (Open and AOTR, purebred and Half-Arab)
Cathy Stewart is in charge of sponsorships for US Nationals and Scottsdale. Please contact her at: fax: 480-515-9524,
